marriage ceremony in different cultures | India

Brides always wear red on their wedding day in India. Traditionally, several different ceremonies are performed before the wedding in India.
During one of the ceremonies, a paste of turmeric is applied to the bride's skin to help it shine.
In another ceremony called 'Sangeet', the couple's relatives and friends meet and sing and dance traditional songs, the most entertaining of these celebrations.
They also apply a kind of henna called 'Mehendi' on their hands. There is also the ring ceremony , the rings are exchanged, and the next day is the wedding day . On the wedding day, as I mentioned before, the bride always wears red, most often this is a traditional Indian dress, a Saree (a dress made of 6 meters of fabric that wraps around the body with drapes) or Lengha. (A wide skirt that reaches to the feet and usually a short-sleeved shawl over a corset top) The groom wears a long jacket with dense embroidery of fabrics called 'Sherwani' and trousers called churidaar. One of the features of Hindu weddings is to tour around the sacred fire.
Before the round, the bride sits on the groom's right side and after the round on the left side of the groom. This is because the bride is closer to the groom's heart after the tour. This tour, called 'Pheras', symbolizes the seven vows, it has survived from a priest named Pandit.
